Claire Cottrell is a film director and photographer and the founder of BOOK STAND. She is a regular contributor to the Berlin-based international interview magazine, Freunde von Freunden, and her work has appeared in The Atlantic, Bon Appétit, the Paris Review, purple FASHION, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, VICE, Vogue, and Wilder Quarterly, among other editorial titles. Commercial clients include Vitra and Mercedes-Benz. 

This October, Claire’s photography was published in—and as the cover of— Everything I Want To Eat: Sqirl and The New California Cooking, the first cookbook of Jessica Koslow’s cult-favorite restaurant.

Claire studied architecture at the University of Colorado, Boulder and earned her M.L.Arch from the University of Southern California. She lives in Los Angeles.
