Video artist and musician Yoshi Sodeoka was born in Hiroshima, Japan and educated at Pratt in New York City. Yoshi’s prints and videos, influenced by 1960s psychedelia and progressive rock of the 1970s, have been exhibited at the Whitney, Tate Britain, and Deitch Projects, and are included in the permanent collections of New York's Museum of the Moving Image as well as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. As founding art director of Word Magazine, one of the first multimedia art webzines, Yoshi has been at the forefront of digital art culture for some two decades. Yoshi's commercial clients include Apple, Nike, and Sandro Paris. He is also the founder of the experimental art video label, Undervolt and Co. Yoshi lives and works in New York.
